Organization Overview

Baby2Baby provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. In the last 11 years, Baby2Baby has distributed over 270 million items to children in homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, foster care, hospitals and underserved schools as well as children who have lost everything in the wake of disaster.

Position Overview

Baby2Baby is seeking a hard-working, mission-driven intern to join our fast-paced office starting this Summer 2023 for 12 weeks for 8-12 hours/week in person. With a program focus, this intern will have the opportunity to learn from the Baby2Baby team about the day-to-day operations of a non-profit organization, specifically within the National Programs & Disaster Relief department. Reporting to the Manager(s) of National Programs & Disaster Relief, the National Program Intern(s) will gain experience assisting the Baby2Baby team with the organization’s support across the country.

This individual will spend their internship hours in person at Baby2Baby’s offices (5830 W. Jefferson Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016). This is evolving and subject to change.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts research to identify areas Baby2Baby can boost support.
  • Learns analysis and database maintenance, including tracking inventory and resource allocation.
  • Gains experience in external communication with new organizations, including sorting the National email account inbox.
  • Gains experience in administrative support for the National Program & Disaster Relief team.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in progress.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Access to personal transportation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel) and the Google Apps suite.
