Position Overview
Baby2Baby is seeking a hard-working, mission-driven, outreach-focused intern to join our fast-paced office starting this Winter/Spring 2026 for 8-12 weeks for 8-12 hours/week. With a programmatic focus, this intern will have the opportunity to learn from the Baby2Baby team about the day-to-day operations of the Maternal Health and Family Engagement programs. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Intern will gain experience assisting the Baby2Baby team with the organization’s expansion across the country.
The Program Intern will also learn about the Los Angeles non-profit and social service sectors, and how Baby2Baby accomplishes its mission.
This individual will spend their internship hours in person at Baby2Baby’s offices (5830 W. Jefferson Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016). This is evolving and subject to change.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the Program department’s data collection processes.
- Conduct statistical analyses to identify key outcome measures and trends. Assist in developing data narratives and translating findings into reports.
- Support ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of family records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Help track and input data related to purchases, orders and essential items distributed to families to ensure accurate reporting and inventory management.
- Occasionally deliver essential items to families to ensure timely distribution and strengthen direct community relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
- Experience with statistical software (i.e., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS, Excel, or Python for data analysis).
- Ability to execute statistical analyses such as cross-tabulations, ANOVA, chi-square tests, correlations, cluster analysis, and others as needed.
- Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel) and the Google Apps suite.
