Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Program Partnerships & Operations, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Baby2Baby’s programming, including specialty programs aimed at addressing the needs of families in crisis. This position will play a pivotal role in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs. Additionally, the Program Manager will foster partnerships with community organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit program management, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to improving the lives of low-income families.

The Program Manager work Monday-Friday at 5830 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016. The work is performed in an office and warehouse setting and is currently on site 3 – 5 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Leads the day-to-day operations of the distribution programs, ensuring that yearly distribution goals are met and diapers are spread equitably across partner organizations in the US.
  • Manages partnerships with hundreds of organizations nationwide; communicates with partner organizations to coordinate the distribution of millions of essential items to children in need.
  • Co-leads National sponsorship and development opportunities with Director.
  • Works with the Corporate Partnerships team to allocate corporate donations nationally.
  • Manages program coordinators and assistants, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed.
  • Works with our Family Engagement program to connect families and communicate with partners.
  • Assists with grant execution, which involves documentation of impact and tracking distribution.
  • Assists Director in collection of annual survey, demographic, and partner data tracking.
  • Assists Director in strategic expansion of programs as needed.
  • Monitors program budgets, tracks expenditures and ensures programs operate within budget constraints.
  • Analyzes partner landscape to effectively report on needs and other issues affecting families.
  • Organizes and executes on-site distributions with partner organizations across the country.
  • Stays up to date on relevant news and poverty research that can further inform the work.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the nonprofit sector or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff and volunteers, and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Ability to travel nationally to member organizations, as needed.
  • Proven abilities in multi-tasking and problem-solving.
  • Organized with strong attention to follow up, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and results oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Spanish speaking
  • Data driven; ability to track and analyze program metrics to measure effectiveness and adjust programming as needed. Proficiency in data collection tools and reporting.
  • Commitment to improving the lives of families facing hardship and an understanding of the importance of access to essential supplies like diapers.
  • Cultural competency; sensitivity to the needs of diverse communities and the ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.

Salary

This role’s salary range is between $50-$65k. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
